The Destination

Known as the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda offers one of the most unique hunting experiences on the continent. After years of conservation and recovery, Uganda has re-emerged as a premier destination for hunters seeking a wide array of species many of which are found only in East Africa. With a mix of lush savannahs, wetlands, and rolling highlands, Uganda is a land of natural beauty and extraordinary biodiversity. For hunters, it provides the opportunity to pursue Nile buffalo, Ugandan Kob, and Ssese Island Sitatunga, among many others, in pristine wilderness.

The Terrain

Uganda’s hunting concessions are as varied as its landscapes:

• Savannah & Open Plains: Rolling grasslands dotted with acacia.

• Swamps & Riverine Habitat: Dense papyrus swamps and waterways.

• Woodlands & Highlands: Miombo woodland and scattered bush.

• Lake & River Systems: The Nile River and it's tributaries.

This blend of ecosystems creates a wide range of stalking, glassing, and swamp-hunting opportunities.

Uganda’s diversity of huntable species makes it a true sportsman’s destination:

• Dangerous Game:

  • Nile Buffalo 

• Plains Game & Antelope:

  • Ugandan Kob, Defassa Waterbuck, East African Eland, East African/Nile Bushbuck, East African Impala, Warthog, Oribi, Reedbuck, and Bush Duiker

• Unique & Specialty Species:

  •  Ssese Island Sitatunga, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Bohor Reedbuck, Sudan Roan and Gunther's Dik-dik

• Fishing: Excellent Nile Perch fishing.

The Experience

• Cuisine: Meals combine international and local flavors, freshly prepared meats, vegetables, and tropical fruits. Game meat often features on the menu, complemented by fine wines and spirits. Sundowners overlooking the plains or Lake Albert are a cherished daily ritual.

• Lodging: The six different hunting areas offer comfortable thatched chalets with en-suite facilities, hot showers, and attentive staff. The lodge-style accommodation blends modern comfort with classic safari atmosphere. Nights are spent around the campfire, with the sounds of the bush in the background.
